High School Tips: Football Game Edition

Hey Guys, its Claudia!
Today I thought I would introduce a new mini series I am going to be doing. This is a series of tips on all things high school. This first post will be about football games.
I don't know about you guys, but the football games at the schools near us are a big deal, including our own school. Hope you like these tips and give them a try!

Tip #1: What To Wear
-When you go to a school football game you want to show your school spirit. Try wearing a sweatshirt or tshirt with the school's name on it.
-Some of the football games such as the first home game, homecoming, etc. are a big deal and often people dress in the school's colors. Go all out in full blue, red, yellow, etc.
-If you don't have much spirit wear don't stress you can borrow from friends, or if you are trying to break the ice ask your crush if you can borrow his sweatshirt or tshirt. Its a classic and cute move.

Tip #2: Who To Go With
-When you go to a football you will obviously be surrounded by your friends and hang out with everyone at the game.
-However, who you show up with is important. If you come alone (which you should not do!) you won't know where everyone is and you will look like a bit of a loner.
-Instead come with 2-4 of your really close friends so you can be around people and prep for the game, but still hang out with everyone when you get there.

Tip #3: What To Do
-The #1 thing you will realize is you don't actually watch the game. The first game I went to for our school I didn't even know the school we played until after the game was done.
-Hang out in a big group of people, this is your chance to be open and social.
-MEET NEW PEOPLE! This is so important because so many people just shy away and hang out with people they already know. This is your chance to get to know a girl you haven't talked to much, or finally make a move on the guy you have been eyeing.
-Be outgoing and fun. If you are quiet and shy no one is going to pay attention. Be confident, outgoing and fun. This will make the night fun and people notice you. I used to be very shy but since high school started I am just so comfortable that this is an easy thing for me. However for those of you that are shy it will be a bit of a strech. But this should be a fun event, and if you don't look like you are having fun I have to guess you won't actually have fun.

Enjoy the game!
Hope this helps.
Love, Claudia

Homecoming!!!

Hey guys its Sophie! So, I am starting a mini series for homecoming.  I will have posts on makeup, hair, what to bring in your clutch, etc.  This first post of the series is dress shopping!! I love going dress shopping, however it can be stressful at times when you are in a time crunch.

Tips for shopping:
-First of all get a group of three of your girlfriends, and yes moms to.  Your moms will most likely end up buying you some of the dress, plus they will tell you if it too inappropriate.
-Give yourself LOTS of time! You never want to be in a hurry when dress shopping
-Think about your body type.  Not every figure can rock every dress.

Now on to the dresses:

Fall Loves Tag!

Hey guys its Sophie! So today It is a perfect fall day, so I decided that I wanted to do a fall tag.  I saw this one going around and thought I would join in.  It is called the Fall Loves Tag and it was created by Bethany, or Macbarbie07 on YouTube. However I am just going to do the first question!
1. Top 5 fall makeup items?

-Benetint by Benefit.  This product gives me an amazing wash of color on my lips.  My favorite part about this stain is that you cant feel it! Plus it gives you rose tinted lips!

Benetint $29

-Great Lash Big by Maybelline.  I know when we all here the name great lash, we think terrible quality.  But this mascara with the big wand is amazing!  It gives great lift and makes your lashes super dark!

-Eye Enhancer in Golden Sunrise by CoverGirl.  This eyeshadow is a very pretty gold.  It does have chunky glitter, but that is what I love about it! It gives such an interesting affect!

-Color Icon Trio in I'm Getting Sunburned by Wet n' Wild.  This is amazing! Claudia has a review on some of the trios so get her post out! These are amazingly pigments and the shades are GORGEOUS!

Liquid Eye Liner $7

- Liquid Eye Liner by NYX.  I really love this eyeliner because of how thin the brush is, and how easily it applies.  Also, once its on, its on!

Color Icon Trio $4

Eye Enhancer $5, Great Lash Big $5

Fall Beauty Reports

Hey guys how was your weekend?  Mine was awesome! I did some major shopping for a dance I have coming up! Outfit of the Day for it??  Anyway, today's post is going to be on the beauty trends for this fall. Hope you enjoy!

   Bold brows:
This is one of my favorite trends! I think bold brow look absolutely stunning and breathtaking! The two easiest ways to do it is filling them in, or combing them upward.

Combing- For combing your brows just take a brow/lash comb and instead of combing them normally comb them up!

Filling-  When filling in your brows I like to use a brow powder or a matte eyeshadow. *Remember to go a few shades lighter than your hair color!  Here is an inexpensive powder:

ELF Studio Eyebrow Kit $3

     Spider Lashes:

Again another favorite! The spider lashes are bold, thick, and stunning! Plus its super easy to do!

Mascara- Put two coats of mascara on normally, then take the wand and curl up on the inside of your lashes just the opposite way!

Crimson:
The color crimson is the it color! My two favorite ways for incorporating crimson into my look is by eyeshadow, and lipstick.

Eyeshadow- This is my favorite way. I like putting a lighter shade of crimson on my lids, and then a copper on in my crease (tutorial coming up!) This is my favorite that I have been using all the time!:

Lancome Color Design Eyeshadow
in Model $18

Lipstick-This way is a little too bold for me, but great for lipstick lovers!

Mac lipstick in Morange $14.50

Now this trend you probably already know, the jewel tones.  The jewel tones are everywhere, clothing, lipstick, and of course nail polish! If you have been into a high end beauty store lately you have probably noticed a big display of Chanel nail polishes.  This is because Chanel made the "it" nail polish this season called Peridot.  Now I know that I cannot afford to pay $25 for one nail polish no matter how gorgeous.  So I found these two dupes that I will be picking up next time I am out.  There is a Orly nail polish in It's Not Rocket Science, and a China Glaze color in Zombie Zest:

Orly It's Not Rocket Science
I hope you guys liked this post of beauty trends ! Let me know which one was your favorite! Until next time...
      XOXO,
         Sophie
